Science Technician

Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: September 2026
Salary: £159.00 Per Day

We are currently seeking a reliable and organised Science Technician specialising in Physics to join a secondary school in Greenwich on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare equipment and materials for practical science lessons.
• Set up, support and clear away laboratory experiments.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and monitor stock levels.
• Ensure laboratories are clean, organised and maintained to a high standard.
• Prepare, handle and safely store chemicals in accordance with health and safety procedures.
• Support teaching staff during practical lessons where required.
• Carry out routine maintenance and safety checks on laboratory equipment.
• Ensure all practical resources are ready and available for lessons.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Science Technician or within a laboratory environment is desirable.
• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
• A good understanding of laboratory health and safety procedures.
• Knowledge or experience within Physics is highly desirable.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.
