KS1 Class Teacher

Are you a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher with a passion for helping young learners reach their full potential?

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic KS1 Class Teacher to join a primary school in West Molesey for a long-term teaching opportunity.

This position is suited to a teacher who enjoys creating engaging lessons, building pupils’ confidence and supporting children as they develop their essential literacy, numeracy and social skills.

Your Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum.
• Support pupils in developing their reading, writing and mathematical skills.
• Create a structured, welcoming and inclusive classroom environment.
• Assess pupils’ progress and adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs.
• Implement effective behaviour management strategies.
• Work alongside teaching assistants and other staff to support pupil achievement.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Previous experience teaching Year 1 or Year 2.
• Strong knowledge of the KS1 National Curriculum.
• Confidence in delivering phonics and early literacy lessons.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
