Primary Teaching Assistant

We are currently recruiting a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in West Molesey on a long-term basis.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young learners, supporting classroom activities and contributing to a positive and engaging school environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher with daily lessons and classroom activities.
• Provide individual and small-group support to pupils who need additional guidance.
• Help children develop their literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
• Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and independent learning.
• Prepare classroom resources and support engaging learning activities.
• Monitor pupils’ progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience working with children in a primary school or educational setting.
• A good understanding of the primary curriculum.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A patient, approachable and proactive attitude.
• Ability to work effectively alongside teachers and other support staff.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
