Frequently Asked Questions – 13. I am a Newly Qualified Teacher who is looking for somewhere to complete my induction year. Are you able to support me with this?
Our clients are after a range of different levels of teaching experience. Some schools will love the opportunity to work with NQTs and bring them on with their career whilst they contribute to their school environment and culture. Schools generally like to have a balance of different levels of experience. As an NQT, it is important to get a school that will be able to support you, as well as having ability to grow and contribute to the school. NQT’s do come with great ideas and normally lots of enthusiasm. it’s important to keep a balance of this as well as listening to other staff who have been in education for quite a while, whether it is teachers or teaching assistants. Being able to seek feedback and support is key to making sure that your NQT year and the first few years of teaching are positive and so you don’t get burnt out. Teaching is definitely a marathon not a sprint – and as an NQT with lots of enthusiasm, it’s important to pace yourself. Support is key to making sure your experience in teaching starts in a positive and constructive way.
